Consul General of The
Republic of Indonesia in Kuching, Bapak Djoko Harjanto will lead Sarawak
business delegation to attend the 28th Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI),
that will be held on 16 – 20 October 2013 in Jakarta, the capital city of
Indonesia . The business delegation consisted of 24 (twenty four) delegates
from various type of industries in Sarawak, such as traders, buyers, food
manufacturers, oil-palm plantation, construction, inland-port authority and
representative of chambers of commerce and industries in Kuching.
The companies that follow
this mission such as from, SM Tebedu Inland Port, YWP Group of Companies,
Supreme Food Supply Sdn.Bhd, Thian Yen Enterprise Sdn.Bhd, YWP Agro Plantation,
Treca Bina Sdn.Bhd, Bakak Enterprise and Syarikat Pelagus Jaya. The
representative from Chambers of Commerce and Industry, who follow this group
are The Chairman of Industry Committee of Kuching Chinese General Chamber of
Commerce and Industry Mr. Steven Lim Ah Ted, and several members of Dayak
Chamber of Commerce and Industry from Kapit and Kuching.
The 28th
Indonesia Trade Expo is the biggest expo in Indonesia, it will take place at
the Jakarta International Expo Kemayoran, and will be officially opened by the
President of The Republic of Indonesia, His Excellency Bapak Soesilo Bambang
Yudhoyono. There will be more than 600 (six hundred) Indonesian companies and institutions, and
2000 booths displaying and promoting their quality export products in this
expo. Last year, the expo has drawn more than 5,000 visitors from 90 countries
from whole world, and generated in total transactions valued at over USD.1
billion. Malaysia delegation is the second biggest after Nigeria who attended
this expo last year.
This year the Theme of TEI
is “ Remarkable Indonesia”. This
theme is selected to reflect the great variety of products, services, and
investment destination that Indonesia is ready to offer, ranging from the
mining sector, manufacturing sector, services sector, transportation, storage,
telecommunication and automotive sector.
